Wow, I have the corniest titles,....*see post title below*. Geez,.......*shakes head*. Oh well,.....
So today is so freakin' rainy and cold, I am officially using it (other than to run up to the post office later to mail bills and pick up stamps, and pay bills later,.....) to eat Oreos (yes, I ate about 5,....I'm done. Thank you. ) and work on wedding plans.
Danny and I have a little building wedding idea book we have cut out ideas that others have done and posted about, for inspiration and have researched venues, but that's about it so far. (Oh, and I found a dress I like, a lot. Amazing, I know. )
So, this blog, in following with my work and life, is also going to serve as our 'wedding blog', unofficially. Muah-haha.
At first, I was totally, well-we were totally, set on a winery, outdoor-ish type wedding, in a vineyard or something like that- very "us" and would provide us with dual purposes of ceremony area and reception area in one, and great scenery. Well, after ruling out Biltmore, (ha-ha.....no way we could afford, $$$$$$!!!!!) we are looking and have narrowed our search down to about 4 different NC wineries/B&B that hold events, weddings, etc. (ie: have the under-cover or tent area we are looking for, for a reception. )
Well, that was until I came across a few blogs/websites ( listed below on the blog ) that were made by couples who "DIY-ed" for their wedding; using small budgets ($2,000 budgets ,etc. ) they pulled off a wedding in backyards and B&B that were classy, small, and very nice, with tastes that were similar to some of the "DIY-stuff" D and I were going for.
Anyway, here is the list of some wineries, B&B, vineyards, etc. we were looking at in North Carolina, I am still looking at some B&B in NC. Anyone ever visited these or know of a good scenic NC B&B for an outdoor wedding on a budget? :D
